We are proud to have succeeded in bringing one of Jamaica's best roots reggae singers to Geel. Since his first album 'From August Town' (2008, produced by saxophonist Dean Fraser), Duane Stephenson has become a fixed value on the reggae scene. Always critical, he gives a voice to the weak in today's society and advocates change. He is therefore not only a talented singer and write, but also a socially responsible artist. Stephenson works hard to fight famine and talks with a lot of youngsters to keep them on the straight and narrow. Together with other reggae stars (including Chronixx, Tarrus Riley and Christopher Martin) he is involved in the Crime Free Project, which aims to reduce violence and crime in Jamaica. His charismatic stage presence and songs that come straight from the heart make Duane Stephenson a must-see on this 39th edition of Reggae Geel!
