A band of five from Kingston that play heartfelt roots reggae. They distinguish themselves by their polyphonic harmonies and grown-up sound, which they can achieve because they've all five been musically trained at Edna Manley College. They are considered to be one of the most promising young Jamaican acts and were nominated for a Grammy for their third album 'Everlasting' (VP Records) this year. The band members performed as backing to other reggae stars for years but were able to play their own music when front man Humar Bent joined them in 2010. Raging Fyah are inspired by the best artists from the 70s, such as Aswad, Steel Pulse and Third World, which you can definitely recognise in their sound. An optimistic message and musical craftsmanship: no wonder that they return to Reggae Geel this year!
