Founded in 2009 by two passionate sound system enthusiasts from Pula, Croatia, Roots Daughters have been championing roots and dub music across Europe.

Roots Daughters, hailing from Pula, Croatia, have been making their mark on the reggae scene since 2009. Forged in the fires of Ljubljana’s Monday Dub Lab sessions, they bring a deep love of roots music and sound system culture to every performance. The 2013 Berlin connection with Jahminta Zulu amplified their sound, enriching the German reggae scene. Inspired by Rastafari and Jamaican sound systems, they create spaces for shared vibes and empowerment.
Their vinyl collection spans reggae’s history, from foundation tunes to the latest releases, delivering an authentic experience. Crucially, Roots Daughters champion female voices, creating platforms for women artists and activists and honouring the genre’s often-overlooked female pioneers. Expect a session celebrating reggae’s past, present, and future, distributing vibes of equality and justice. Don’t miss the fire they’re bringing – be there!
